Commercial Broker Manager - Insurance
South Manchester/Stockport Area & potentially some WFH
Salary £26-30K DOE – Negotiable

Our client is a newly formed dynamic business created to fill a gap in the market for a specialist, independent, client-centric and service focussed commercial insurance brokerage. We will provide insurance solutions to organisations of all shapes and sized, from start-ups, to SME’s through to larger corporate risks.
Working in conjunction with the very experienced directors, this is an incredible opportunity for the right person to manage the day to day function within the business. You will be responsible for ensuring the high level of work from the team as well as nurturing and developing new talent within the branch as growth is very much on our agenda. This role would suit a driven individual, potentially frustrated in their current environment who already has extensive commercial brokerage experience and who is looking for career advancement and an opportunity to go into senior management.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with clients by adopting a proactive approach to customer service
Support the directors who will be taking the lead on outbound business development
Collate and input client details in the CRM system
Interact with prospects and clients to collect and collate information in respect of new business enquiries, renewals and mid-term adjustments
Administer client’s requirements, including mid-term adjustments, renewals, obtaining quotations, cross-sales and invoicing of premiums
Assist the management in the preparation of presentations and submissions to insurers and suppliers
To support the directors on Compliance and Operational matters ensuring adherence to agreed policies and procedures by all staff through effective supervision
Production of new business quotation and renewal terms
Preparation of new business quotations and market submissions.
Arrange cover to comply with the client instructions
Check all documentation for accuracy before issuing to clients or appropriate parties
Review management information and reports as necessary, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken
Experience
Good working knowledge of commercial Insurance contracts across multiple classes
Minimum 5 years’ Commercial Insurance broking experience
Cert / CII Qualified
Have the ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of insurance policy construction
Able to work on own initiative, organised with the ability to prioritise to ensure work is delivered accurately and in a timely manner
An eye for detail and a high level of accuracy within both written and verbal communication
An understanding of underwriting criteria
Strong IT including CRM system skills
