Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours
Shift and schedule: Weekend availability
Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader in Leek.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a residential home for children and young people, rated Good in all areas by OFSTED. The residents live with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and/or autism and may display some associated behaviours.
We are searching for Senior Support Workers/Team Leaders who share our belief that disability is not a barrier, and it doesn’t have to stop our residents from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Previous experience in residential childcare and a driver’s license is required for this role.

Company and Role:- Residential home for Children & Young People, accommodating up to 6 residents.
- The home prides itself on being rated Good in all areas by OFSTED.
- The conditions the residents live with include a range of learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism.
- Many of the residents are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate through different methods, including picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton.
- Some personal care may be involved, in addition to companionship, taking part in celebrations, events, fundraising, and other ways of interacting with the local community.
Successful Applicant:- Must be able to drive
- Minimum 1 year experience in care work.
- Experience of working within and leading a team.
- Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).
- Able to be a part of the management on-call system.
