Kickstart - Recruitment Trainee

25 hrs per week, 5 days per week Monday-Friday
Duration: 6 month contract minimum 
£6.56 to £8.91 per hour (£164-£218 take home pay per week)

You will be working in our offices in central Manchester, where you will be taught about and then asked to execute the full recruitment process including but not limited to:
Identifying & interviewing candidates
Approaching appropriate prospective clients
Day to day business etiquette & best practise and how to get the best out of people
Business development
How to prepare a candidate for an interview

Your key responsibilities during this time will include:
Effective engagement with the training process, it is imperative that you engage with the trainers & training material provided and try your best to put into action the training given.
Engagement with candidates, learning about them and tracking that information on our in-house systems.
Speaking to potential clients, introducing the services that we can offer.Securing commercial terms.
Supporting the business with general administration tasks as required.

You will develop a broad range of skills during this time, including effective communication, negotiation, detailed technical searching, active listening and much more.
We do not expect this to be a home working role, we have a large office with covid safe measures in place.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:
Needs to have excellent communication skills, able to communicate with a wide variety of people both in writing and verbally.
Experience in fields of Retail, Sales, Healthcare or IT would be advantageous but not required.
We have no formal qualification requirements, however a basic standard of Maths and English is expected. Must be comfortable using a windows PC.

Employability support

We will be offering 3 levels of support:
Our internal Head of L&D will be leading on general recruitment training, day to day systems usage and other general training subjects.
We have an expert external training provider who will be present through the whole 6 months, who will be providing specialised sales and recruitment training.
Each Kickstart employee will be given a mentor on our senior leadership team, who will be on hand to answer questions, provide day to day advice and will also be available for advice if the kick start employee leaves the business after completing the 6 month kick start program.
There will be ongoing training around subjects such as: CV preparation, interviewing, how to prepare for a job interview, how to identify viable jobs etc.
Each employee that completes the 6 month kick start program with Priority Recruitment will be offered at least 2 internal interviews to be considered for full time permanent employment or an ongoing apprenticeship.
