The venue is located just outside of Cambridge. The location take pride on providing Wedding Events and other medium size events to a high standard. We are looking for an enthusiastic Head Chef to take charge and lead the kitchen brigade.
Requirements and Responsibilities
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Sous Chef who is looking for a new challenge and step up into a Head Chef role or for an existing Head Chef who is looking for a new change in direction. We are looking to recruit a Head Chef with a fresh food background and someone who understands seasonal produce. As Head Chef you will need to be able to run the kitchen in a disciplined and systematic manner with strong management skills and the ability to delegate to your brigade.
Ensuring that all food is presented for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence
Being responsible for daily operations in the kitchen
Portion control, minimising wastage and delivering
Preparing and serving events up to a maximum of 130 people
Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food.
You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, a high level of personal cleanliness and understand how to comply with food health and safety standards.
Work includes week days and weekends. Approximately 48 hours per week. Although non 'peak' wedding weeks can be around 20 hours.
