A thriving business in the St Helens Area are looking to hire an experience Buyer into their growing team. After almost 60 years' of trading, this Fabrications specialist are now looking for somebody to take over their Buying/Purchasing department in an exciting stand along role. 

Role Description
  • Planning and managing all company procurement's
  • Coordinating and monitoring all purchasing activities
  • Maintaining commercial relations with domestic and international suppliers
  • Cost reduction
  • Supply chain management
  • Expediting
  • Rationalising supplier data base and suppliers
  • Stock control and inventory management
  • Managing substantial annual purchasing budget
  • Maintaining supplier data base

Requirements

  • Experienced with proven track record
  • Competent in cost reduction management
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Progress Plus MRP (preferable but not essential)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (particularly Excel)
  • CIPS qualified (highly preferable but not essential)
  • Manufacturing/engineering background (highly preferable but not essential)
