Account Manager – Manufacturer/Distributor/Importer of Electrical Products

Elevator Pitch:

Who:
 Well-established manufacturer, importer and distributor of a wide range of electrical products
What: Selling SDA (Small Domestic Appliances) into Independent Retailers 
Where: Midlands, North England & Scotland - Ideal candidate around M62 corridor but open to anywhere on patch.

 Account Manager – Job Role:

  • Manage existing accounts, developing additional product ranges & increasing spend wherever possible
  • Stay up to date with customer requirements, utilising CRM for effective contact points
  • Develop & extend relationships within both store operations, sales & head office buying teams
  • Region wide travel will be required to meet with customers, including potentially overnight stays due to size of region
  • Pro-actively self-generate new business opportunities, identify new leads and potential new markets to add to the existing client base within the independent retail market sector
  • Work in cross functional teams including marketing to ensure you deliver an effective and sound commercial proposal
  • Arrange effective & appropriate training to support retail sales teams
  • Support head office marketing / sales promotions
  • Setup, design and implement commercial propositions in conjunction with head office teams

  • Able to operate in the luxury retail market comfortably
  • Relationship building will be at the heart of what you do & who you are
  • Able to operate in an autonomous environment without day2day oversight
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & initiative, solutions generator not just an implementor 
  • Team player, whilst also showing lone wolf hunger
  • Self-motivation and complete sales presentation skills are essential requirements
  • Ability to display and provide examples of skills in negotiation, communication and a sound commercial acumen


Experience Required:

  • Field based experience
  • Demonstrable track record of excelling in field sales
  • Experience of selling into independent retailers
  • Experience of selling SDA into independent retailers would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of selling homewares into independent retailers would be advantageous but not essential
