As a globally distributed, cloud-native, software development company; reliable, effective and efficient technology underpins all of our business activities. Our IT administrator will be key to ensuring our people have the right equipment and software in-place and available when they need it.
The role is also expected to contribute to enhancing and developing the existing IT operating procedures. The role is varied and requires a real team player who has the ability to manage their time efficiently and prioritise or escalate technical issues to ensure a prompt closure. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT related projects and activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Procuring new equipment and configuring for use
  • On-boarding new users with user accounts and off-boarding leavers according to People Ops’ requirements
  • Troubleshooting user problems, in both Windows / Linux environments with a touch of iOS. 
  • Monitoring and upkeep of the existing IT-infrastructure hardware within the offices: Wi-Fi networks, desktop PC support, laptops
  • Managing office network switches and wireless access points
  • Managing credentials and access for third-party accounts 
  • Administering the Video Conferencing system as well as diagnosing issues with software / hardware used which include NUC’s and iPads.
  • Printer management including consumable replacement
  • Ensuring security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept up to date. 
  • Ensuring all logs for equipment and users as well as networking diagrams are maintained
  • Ability to absorb new information and understand new technology quickly
  • Ability to carry out several ongoing tasks simultaneously 
  • Preparing and moving IT equipment in accordance with desk moves
  • Providing colleagues in the US offices with IT assistance where possible
Skills RequiredEssential
  • Ability to function in a very fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve queries in a calm and methodical manner. Some experience with Windows Active Directory
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and network subnetting/routing
  • PC Troubleshooting 
  • Security vulnerability and virus detection and protection
  • Ability to create detailed self-help guides.

  • Formal examinations in IT achieved
  • Experience with G-Suite and Slack
  • Experience of working with SAAS solutions and remote infrastructure
