Store Manager

A Store Manager will typically possess a background in managing teams to deliver KPI’s versus sales and operations.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Typically a sales or service driven environment
  • Possess a positive attitude to working as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Motivated to achieve targets and goals, possess a 'can-do' attitude, and have an open-mind to learn from the best in the business
  • Experience in supporting a team to deliver sales and operations vs targets 
  • Be confident and highly motivated and have a real passion for service or sales
  • Experience of being a high achiever with a proven track record of a consistent performance

A Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store; including training their staff and demonstrating commercial acumen to best promote the store.

Expectations:

  • Make the customer feel at home and ensure that great customer service is one of their top priorities.
  • Must lead by example and motivate others in their surroundings.
  • Using natural communication skills and competitive edge, Store Managers will be able to bring fresh ideas and experience to the table.

Often having worked up from Sales Assistant or Assistant Manager roles, other associated job titles would include Sales Consultant, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Customer Service Assistant, Team Leader or Senior Sales.

The Store Managers title can cover a lot of roles, sectors and experience levels, therefore salaries can range from £19,000 to over £50,000 in specialised areas.  Typically Store Managers can expect to earn bonus and/or commission packages which can vary from a modest 5-10% bonus upto over a 100% of basic salary earning potential.  This is often referred to as an OTE - On Target Earnings.
