Job Title: Support Worker

Pay rate: £25,620 - £29,328 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Shift and schedule: 2 on/4 off rolling shift pattern, including sleep-ins
Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Preston.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our team looking after a group of young people aged 8-18 who have behavioural and emotional issues.
We are searching for an experienced Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Please note that a full UK driving license is required for this role.
Salary & Benefits:- Competitive salary: between £25,620 and £29,328.80 per annum, depending on experience.

Client and Role:- Our client has a brand new children’s residential home with residents aged 8-18 who have behavioural and emotional issues.
- The aim of the home is to help the residents develop and maintain the necessary social and living skills to enjoy a fulfilling life whilst ensuring their physical and emotional care needs are also met.
- The role includes planning and participating in leisure and social activities, supporting personal care and school routines, preparation of meals, setting boundaries and completing daily records and relevant documentation.
- Working closely with social workers, healthcare professionals and education teams.
- The shift pattern is 2 days on, including sleep-ins, and 4 days of. For example: starting at the home at 10 am on a Monday morning and finishing at 10 am on Wednesday morning, including 2 sleep-ins; you will then have 4 days off.
Successful Applicant:- Must have at least 6 months of previous experience in healthcare.
- Full UK driving license is required, the role will involve using the company car during shift.
- Ideally, previous experience in a residential care setting.
- Hold, be working towards, or willing to complete an NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or hold another relevant NVQ.
